What is the difference between the S1 and the Pro Max Plus?
The S1 came first — it is the device that made the Pro Max name. The Pro Max Plus is the later, larger version rated at 6,000 puffs across a 12ml pack. Hayati kept both because they suit different buying habits, not because one is a leftover.
The practical difference is how often you handle a pod and how much you spend each time. The S1 is small, cheap per pack and changed often. The Plus costs more per pack and goes considerably longer between changes.
Which is cheaper to run?
Per pack the S1 is cheaper. Per millilitre the Pro Max Plus is, and that is the number that decides a year.
An S1 twin-pack is £2.99 for 2ml of liquid. A Pro Max Plus pack is £5.49 for 12ml. That works out at roughly £1.50 per ml on the S1 against about £0.46 per ml on the Plus — the Plus is around three times cheaper for the same amount of liquid.
So the S1’s advantage is the size of each purchase, not the running cost. If £2.99 at a time suits you better than £5.49, that is a real reason to choose it. If you are counting the yearly total, the Plus wins clearly.
Which should I buy?
