Product Compliance & Safety
Every product on this site is intended for the UK market and sold under the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016. Here is what that actually requires, and how we meet it.
What UK law requires
- Capacity — a tank or pod may hold no more than 2ml of e-liquid.
- Nicotine strength — no higher than 20mg/ml.
- Bottle size — nicotine-containing e-liquid sold in containers no larger than 10ml.
- Notification — every product notified to the MHRA before it can be sold.
- Packaging — health warnings, ingredient lists and child-resistant closures.
A device advertised with a 5ml pod or 50mg nicotine is not legal for consumer sale in the UK. If you see the Hayati range offered that way, it is not UK stock.
Puff counts explained honestly
A 2ml pod cannot physically hold more than 2ml. When a product is described as 6000 puffs, that figure covers the life of the device across refills or replacement pods, not a single 2ml fill. Manufacturer puff counts are laboratory estimates and real-world figures vary with how hard and how often you draw.
Where our stock comes from
We buy through authorised UK distribution and hold stock at our own premises in Preston. We do not drop-ship, and we do not buy grey-market inventory. Counterfeit pods are a genuine problem in this category — they are made to no standard, the liquid inside is unknown, and they cannot be identified from a photograph.
Battery safety
Charge devices with the supplied USB-C cable and do not leave them charging unattended or overnight. Keep them out of direct heat. If a device becomes hot, swells or leaks, stop using it immediately and contact us — do not put it in the post and do not put it in household waste.
Recycling
Vape devices contain lithium batteries and electronics and must not go in general waste. Under WEEE regulations they should be taken to an electrical recycling point. Many local authority tips and larger retailers accept them.
Reporting a problem
If you believe a product is unsafe or incorrectly labelled, contact us at support@hayativapes.uk. Safety concerns about vaping products can also be reported to the MHRA through its Yellow Card scheme.
